“CMOS Settings wrong” or “CMOS checksum bad” is displayed when you start your computer.


CMOS Error ( battery failure)
This is caused by failure of the battery called CMOS installed on your motherboard. This battery is there in your system to set date/time running. In case of improper functioning or failure may cause this problem. The failure may cause error in your system’s date and time.


 To solve this problem, you will need CMOS battery to be replaced on your system. Contact your system provider or vendor to purchase and replace a new battery.
Symptoms are the messages itself coming in every 24-48hrs. Also your system’s date and time will be set as default.
